Clear "Other" Storage

Learn how to reclaim gigabytes of space hidden in your System Data.

"Other" storage (System Data) consists of caches, logs, and temporary resources that iOS uses. If it's taking up too much room, follow these steps to clear it manually.

1

Clear Safari Cache & History

Safari stores a massive amount of website data that contributes directly to "Other" storage.

Settings > Safari > Tap "Clear History and Website Data".
2

Offload Unused Apps

This removes the app but keeps its data, clearing the temporary system files associated with the app binary.

3

Delete Large Message Attachments

Old videos and photos sent via iMessage are often indexed in System Data. Deleting them releases significant space.

4

Clear Social Media Cache

Apps like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube store huge caches. Uninstalling and reinstalling these apps is the best way to wipe that data.

5

The "Force Restart" Trick

A force restart triggers iOS to perform a system cleanup and delete temporary log files that are no longer needed.
